An established name in the field of real estate, Sijia Li Hughes excels in buying and selling, property management, investment, working with international clients, and general consulting as a broker associate with Herlong Sotheby’s International Realty. In addition to this role, she’s worked as a Senior Supply Chain Specialist at John Wood Group PLC—an engineering services company—since 2022. And between 2014 and 2022, she climbed the ladder from intern to Senior Global Commodity Leader at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a German technology manufacturing company that specializes in commercial vehicles, cars, and general industrial technology.
Originally from China, Ms. Hughes earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the Dalian University of Foreign Languages and a master’s degree in economic law before completing coursework in Germanic languages at the University of Innsbruck in Germany. She ultimately relocated to the United States in 2010, where she became a licensed real estate agent at the Wyatt Institute of Real Estate and continued her education by attaining a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University, graduating magna cum laude in 2014. She attributes much of her success to her commitment to lifelong learning, self-improvement, and effective problem-solving skills.
Looking toward the future, she strives to become a trailblazer in the real estate industry and continue to make an impact on her clients. Her goal is to cultivate the best version of herself while empowering others to pursue their ambitions. In addition, she wants to establish a lasting legacy for her three children—Jennifer, Nathan, and Sophia—and lay a strong foundation for future generations.
Outside of her primary endeavors, she has served as a volunteer, liaison officer, and interpreter at the Asia-Europe 5th Minister’s Economics Conference and International Forestry and Agricultural Conference in China and captained the Chinese community at the Artisphere, a festival in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Additionally, she volunteered at the Greenville Chinese School, where she taught Chinese as a second language, fostered cross-cultural understanding, and language skills among students.
In her spare time, Ms. Hughes enjoys traveling, cooking, playing Mahjong, and being with her family.

In addition to her real estate role, Mrs. Hughes currently serves as a senior supply chain specialist at John Wood Group PLC. Prior to these roles, she was a real estate salesperson and realtor at The Virtual Realty Group from 2018 to 2023. Her tenure at ZF Friedrichshafen AG saw her rise through various roles, including senior global commodity leader, global commodity leader, commodity buyer and program buyer, technical buyer, senior material planner and material planner. She gained early experience as an intern at the same firm, beginning in 2014. She also worked as a realtor at The HomesFinder Realty Group from 2014 to 2018 and Coldwell Banker from 2013 to 2014.
Mrs. Hughes’s academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in English from Dalian University of Foreign Languages in China, followed by a Master of Arts in Economic Law from Northeastern University of Finance and Economics in 2008. She studied Germanic Languages at Universität Innsbruck from 2008 to 2010 in Innsbruck, Austria. And she furthered her education by earning a Master of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Clemson University in 2014 in Greenville, South Carolina USA where she calls home today.
Mrs. Hughes holds several certifications that have bolstered her professional capabilities. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Greenville Technical College and a licensed real estate agent through the Wyatt Institute of Real Estate. Her dedication to client satisfaction is evident in her belief that helping people is more important than financial gains.
Beyond her professional life, Mrs. Hughes is actively involved in civic organizations. She volunteers as Liaison Officer and interpreter for Asia-Europe 5th Ministers Economics Conference and International Forestry and Agricultural Conference in China. When she moved to USA, she has taught Chinese at Greenville Chinese School. She even volunteers as a Booth captain for the Chinese Community at the Artisphere – Art Festival Downtown Greenville, SC, and also provides pro bono services.
